My Mission Trip to Medellin, Colombia with One Ministry Foundation!
Updated: Dec 29, 2018
Besides taking pictures for brides and families, one of my very favorite things to do with my camera gear is to travel to another country and capture some pretty amazing things that God is doing around the world through his people!
Between taking Uber's, taxi's Metros, Buses and planes to get to our destination, the commute was about 14 hours! This is my least favorite part about traveling!
But in Spanish, there is a phrase, "Vale la pena" (Worth the Suffering) and this trip was indeed just that.
We were able to visit special families that needed prayer, encouragement or even the Gospel in remote villages that didn't even have running water (or a working toilet).

We flew across the country to see the beach and to visit a remote village
Besides home visits, were able to run various sports camps around the area to bring the crowds of children. Who doesn't like playing a game of soccer? After the game, we would sit down and they would listen for 45 minutes to an hour about our message of Hope and Grace. Even little 5 year old kids sat still during a 2 hour church service.
Speaking of church, that was the best part of the trip- seeing people walk sometimes over an hour carrying their own porch seat on the backs with the child on the other hip to come and listen to the Word of God.
We partnered with this amazing organization that brings evangelism through sports, activities, children's programs and just good-old-fashioned relationship building!
