You know when you are a homeschooler when...

homeschooling has definitely been an adventure for me. I never grew up doing it- in fact I even have my Master in Education specializing in Public Education.

Sometimes you just have to jump and do something completely out of the ordinary just because you feel as if it's the right thing for your family.

So why homeschooling? Lot's of reasons. But for us, the number one reason is TIME.

Our kids are only young ONCE. They only have their childhood ONCE and we wanted to spend every minute that we could raising them into kind and generous adults.

And TIME is just something that we wouldn't have had if we didn't decide to homeschool. With my hubby in the Ministry and gone a lot of nights and weekends for Bible Studies, Conferences and church events, I just wanted the kids to see their dad more.

My original plan was to be a teacher. But after student teaching for a whole semester, and not getting home until after 7 every night- not including grading late into the night, I was very discouraged going back into education after I got my license.

In 2010, when my daughter was born, I really wanted to do something very meaningful with my time- hence creating my own business and learning EVERYTHING on my own!

It has been a crazy venture for sure! From buying curriculum, to planning trips to juggling it all (or not sometimes because I am a hot mess) ...

But I don't regret anything and I hope to be doing it until all my kids are done.

Because what I have learned is that homeschooling is a lifestyle- a lifestyle of life long learning and that everything is a lesson.
