Should I pay for google and Facebook ads as a photographer?

If you want to grow your business, the first thing you think to do is think about is marketing your business.

Where do you start?
Most people think “Now I need to pay for ads through google and Facebook.”

95% of my business comes from word-of-mouth through social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

  • Are you posting polished, consistent and helpful content (videos, photos, tips, reviews, behind-the-scenes) daily to your platforms with appropriate hashtags and a link o book you?

  • Are you blogging weekly about a recent shoot or helpful content?

  • Are you doing a monthly mailing list newsletter with helpful content and recent specials? (You can do this for free from mail chimp)

  • Are you doing a monthly live video about something helpful or a tip?

  • Is your website updated frequently with new work or blogs?

  • Are you tagging clients in your work and asking them to share and review you whenever you shoot?

  • Are you sending a coupon, some business cards, a thank you note or a personal note whenever someone books you?

If you answered NO to any of these, then your google or Facebook ad may not help you gain invested customers.
If you are going to run an ad, make sure you have a rockstar landing page to capture information through a sign up process. If not, you’ll get views without any action.

Social media, referrals and person-to-person marketing is the best strategy to get clients worth your time.
